Is Go City pass Worth it?

What is Go City

Go City is a company that sells attraction passes to famous tourist attractions worldwide. They specialize in offering passes that grant you access to a wide range of attractions and activities, all at a discounted price.

While it’s not a VIP entrance to bypass lines at attractions, you can skip the line to purchase the pass itself. This saves you time and allows you to dive straight into the excitement.

Go City is also the world’s largest provider of sightseeing passes. The experts handpick major tourist destinations and quirky museums, action-packed experiences, and transportation options for you!

Go City currently covers 30 destinations you can select from and tailor to your specific travel needs, whether you’re a history buff, an adventure seeker, or a culture enthusiast.

NOTE: All examples we’re giving you will be based on our experience with the Go City La Vegas All-Inclusive Pass

What Types Of Passes Does Go City Have?

All-Inclusive Pass

With the Go City Las Vegas all-inclusive pass, you pay a single flat rate for all-inclusive admission to the available attractions for 2 to 5 days.

Go City – Las Vegas all-inclusive pass tickets cost:

  • $140 for 2 days
  • $240 for 3 days
  • $291 for 4 days
  • $311 for 5 days

If you decide to take a 3, 4 or 5-day pass, you can reserve one “Premium Attraction” such as:

  • Grand Canyon Full-Day Tour
  • Las Vegas Strip Helicopter Tour
  • Bryce Canyon and Zion Nationals Park Tour
  • SkyJump at the STRAT
  • Ka by Cirque du Soleil

It is also important to remember that pass prices change regularly.

Explorer Pass

Unlike the all-inclusive pass, you can pick how many attractions you wish to see with the Las Vegas Go City Explorer Pass. With this option, you just select the number of activities and do not need to specify what you want to do.

When you get to your location, you can simply visit any attractions you have purchased. Packages start with two itinerary items and may include up to seven, with cost (and value) increasing as more attractions are included.

Unlike the all-inclusive pass, the Go City Las Vegas Explorer Pass only allows entry to lower-tier activities. It does not include the big-ticket excursions or helicopter flights included in the all-inclusive package. Pricing begins at $70 for two options and increases as more attractions are added.

👉 I don’t think the Go City Explorer Pass is really worth it when traveling with children. Some attractions might be worth it for an adult trip, but not so much for a family trip to Las Vegas.

👉THE KEY TAKEAWAYS:
Before purchasing a pass from Go City, make sure that you have already considered some potential scenarios where the pass would be worth it and when it would not.

If you’re a thrill-seeking traveler with a flexible budget who is planning a multi-day trip to a city with multiple attractions and wants to experience as much as possible during your stay. In this case, Go City would be worth it for you.

You can maximize your time and budget by visiting multiple attractions each day, making the pass a great value for your adventurous spirit.

On the other hand, if you’re planning a short weekend getaway to Las Vegas and have limited time and a moderate budget and don’t anticipate being able to visit a large number of attractions. In this scenario, Go City may not be worth it for you.

You can explore the city more leisurely and select a few key attractions to visit individually.

By purchasing tickets directly for the attractions you are most interested in, you can better manage your time and budget without needing a pass.

Madame Tussauds Las Vegas – In eight fun-packed, themed rooms, you’ll get to engage with life-like replicas of all your favorite characters and celebrities like never before, with immersive exhibitions adding spectacular effects, audio, lighting, and more!

FlyOver: The Ultimate Flying Ride ft. Wonders of the American West – On this one-of-a-kind trip, you’ll soar above renowned places and explore the American West as you’ve never seen it before.

Hop-On Hop-Off Big Bus Classic Tour – Join a live guide on a double-decker bus tour that provides a fun, informative, and engaging overview of the Las Vegas Strip, Downtown, and beyond!

High Roller Observation Wheel: Daytime Ticket – Experience 360-degree views of Las Vegas and beyond by riding the world’s tallest observation wheel.

SkyJump at the Strat – The SkyPod Observation Tower at The STRAT is an incredible attraction that provides a fantastic opportunity to become acquainted with the city and enjoy breathtaking views of the Las Vegas skyline.

Discovering King Tut’s Tomb at the Luxor – Follow along Howard Carter’s footsteps as he sets out in search of one of the greatest treasures in Ancient Egyptian archaeology.

FlyOver – The Ultimate Flying Ride – Buckle up for the ride of your life as you dip, dive, and glide over some of the world’s most breathtaking vistas!

The Mob Museum – You’ll learn about the important role that organized crime still plays in this country and realize that, at times, the truth is stranger than fiction.

The Las Vegas Mob Museum now contains a prohibition exhibit complete with a speakeasy and distillery.

You’ll learn about bootleggers, rum runners, and the agents who sought to bring them down.

Now, I’ll break down the exact activities we did in Las Vegas using the 2-Day All-Inclusive Pass. But it’s important to know that we made our itinerary in a way we could hit as many activities as possible within the 2 days.
Yes, the kids were a bit tired at the end of the 2 days, but we had planned relaxing pool days after 😉

Let’s break it down to compare the cost of my experience purchasing a pass from GoCity for Las Vegas – 2 days vs. the Individual prices from GetYourGuide for the listed attractions we visit.

📝 Note: Attractions included in the all-inclusive and explore passes may vary depending on the travel you purchase. For example, the Marvel Avengers S.T.A.T.I.O.N exhibit is not offered anymore (but it was when we visited).

GoCity for Las Vegas VS Individual Cost from GetYourGuide

My kid admiring the realistic wax figures of celebrities at Madame Tussauds Las Vegas.

All prices are in USD and for an adult admission. Also note that the pricing provided below doesn’t include service fees and/or taxes

💃 Madame Tussauds Las Vegas: $40.00

🎡 High Roller Observation Wheel: $35.00 for the anytime ticket (or $25.00 for the daytime ticket)

🗼 Eiffel Tower Experience: $25.00

🎢 The Big Apple Roller Coaster: $25.00

👑 King Tut’s Tomb at Luxor: $30.00

🚌 Hop-on, Hop-off Bus: $55.00

🍾 Mob Museum: $34.95 (This museum admission seems not be included anymore in the All-inclusive pass… it would be important to double-check)

🦸Marvel Avengers STATION: $34.00 (Note that this exhibit is not running anymore in Las Vegas)

🍲 $25.00 food voucher at Café Hollywood: $25.00

💵 The grand total without the card would have been: $303.95 + taxes + service fees

💵 The grand total with the Go City All-Inclusive pass was $145.

So like I said, I used the Go City attraction pass on our family trip to Las Vegas, and we got the most bang for our buck. I would never have normally done so many attractions in a trip. And never would I have spent $303.95 per person for attractions, so with the pass, it was totally worth it.

The High Roller, a towering observation wheel offering breathtaking views of the Las Vegas skyline.

Overall, it really depends on what attractions you plan to visit in Las Vegas and how long you plan to stay.

The Go City is definitely worth it if you plan to take advantage of all the included attractions and the additional attractions available with your pass like we did:)

Benefits of the Go City attraction pass

👍Cost savings

With Go City, you can take advantage of significant discounts you wouldn’t get if you purchased individual tickets. This means you can explore multiple attractions without breaking the bank. As you saw, we said more than $150 with the pass.

👍Convenience

The value of a Go City attraction pass goes beyond just the savings. It’s also a convenient way to experience everything a city offers without the hassle of buying individual tickets. With a pass from GoCity, you can enjoy an all-inclusive experience that makes your trip a breeze.

Downsides of the Go City attraction pass

👎Potential limitations

You may not be able to see enough sites to make the pass worthwhile, depending on your trip plans and preferences. During the peak season, several of the mentioned attractions may be busy and have long lines.

So, expect that it’s not 100% sure that you’ll be able to see and enjoy all of the locations included in your pass. We visited Las Vegas early April, and we didn’t have to get for any attractions, except the Big Apple roller coster.

👎The need to visit a certain number of attractions to make it worth the cost

Making your pass worthwhile, the cost isn’t always guaranteed, as you may be unable to explore every attraction included in your pass. Weather conditions, personal preferences, or unforeseen circumstances can impact your ability to visit all the destinations.

Is a refund or cancellation policy applicable in Go City App?

The good news is Yes! Go City App offers refunds for unused passes up to 90 days after your pass purchase.

If a customer has purchased a pass but has yet to use it within 90 days, they can contact customer service to request a full refund.

And then, the refund will be returned to the original payment method used at checkout. The 90-day policy is applicable for all types of passes from Go City.

Tips for maximizing the value of the Go City

To maximize the value of your Go City, here are some of my tips:

Plan ahead: Before your trip, take some time to research the attractions included in your pass and identify the ones that interest you the most. Make an itinerary and allocate enough time for each attraction.

Check attraction hours: Take note of the operating hours of the attractions you plan to visit. Some attractions may have limited hours on certain days or may be closed on specific dates. So, plan your schedule to ensure you can visit all the attractions you want.

Prioritize expensive attractions: If your pass includes budget-friendly and more expensive attractions, prioritize the pricier ones. Go City can offer significant savings on these higher-priced attractions, allowing you to make the most of your pass value.

Start early: Make an effort to start your day early to maximize your time at the attractions. Arriving early can help you beat the crowds and make the most of your visit, especially at popular attractions.

Be flexible: While planning is important, also be open to flexibility. Sometimes, unexpected events or weather changes may require adjustments to your itinerary. Consider backup options or alternative attractions to make the most of your pass, even if unforeseen circumstances exist.

Final Thoughts: Is Go City Worth It?

Go City offers cost savings, convenience, and flexibility for exploring multiple attractions. The significant discounts can make it a budget-friendly option.

However, it’s important to consider the potential limitations, such as the need to visit enough attractions to make the pass worthwhile and the limited validity period.

So, deciding whether the Go City attraction pass is worth it or not depends on you.  The pass can provide great value if you have a well-planned schedule and a strong desire to visit the included destinations.

I hope this has helped you determine whether Go City is worth it. Whatever your decision, I wish you the best of luck on your trip!

Have a fantastic time in Las Vegas, and enjoy all the experiences it has to offer! 🙂
