The glamping tents are really cozy and comfortable. They can accommodate families with its large king bed and its double sofa bed. In the main room, you’ll also find a beautiful log fireplace. I was surprised to see a full bathroom with a shower with hot water. It was a nice luxury we were not expecting.

My favorite place was the large patio facing the valley. It was so relaxing and beautiful. You’ll find Adirondack chairs to enjoy the view, and why not a glass of wine or a cup of coffee?

The lodge takes pride in ensuring all accommodations are comfortable, clean, and welcoming for guests of all ages. The interiors are decorated in a rustic yet elegant style that reflects the natural surroundings. High-quality bedding ensures a cozy environment, perfect for a restful sleep after a day of mountain exploration. We slept really well, and I had to wake the kids up at 7h45 (which never happens) to get ready for breakfast.

We particularly loved:

The Dining Experience

When booking a stay at Mt Engadine Lodge, you’ll have all your meals thoughtfully prepared and served on-site at the main lodge. The dining setting is equally impressive. You’ll enjoy your meals in the communal dining room, offering stunning panoramic views of the surrounding landscape. For the afternoon tea, you can also decide to sit on the outdoor patio.

During this afternoon tea, you’ll have a tasty charcuterie and cheese board served with different crackers. Then, a small sweet treat is served to end the fun. You’ll get to choose between a wide selection of tea or coffee. Kids can also request hot chocolate.

3-Course Meal Dinner

The lodge serves up hearty, home-cooked meals carefully curated to meet the tastes of all its guests, including the younger ones. With a menu that changes daily and focuses on locally sourced ingredients, each meal becomes a unique culinary adventure. Dinner is served at 7:00 pm.

When we visited, we had

  • a tomatoes and carrots salad
  • smoked salmon with wild rice and
  • panna cotta.

The food was tasty and delicious. I decided not to request a special kids’ meal, but the staff offered it to me at check-in. I love that my kids are willing to try new dishes, so I took this opportunity. They were served smaller portions of the regular menu, and they ate a good part of it.

Breakfast

Breakfast is served at 8:00 am. We had a choice between an omelet or crepes. While we waiting for our warm plates, we could serve ourselves with the cold buffet. There were croissants, fresh fruits, yogurts and a lot more yummy pastries.

Packed lunch for your day’s adventures

Before checkout, you’ll get a packed lunch for your day’s adventures. The night before, at dinner, we had to fill a paper with our choice of sandwiches and sides for our lunch. The kids obviously selected the cookie, and I got the veggies and hummus side.

The Resort Facilities and Services

The common lounge area, with its cozy fireplace and comfortable seating, is an ideal spot for families to gather and share stories from their day.

We found a lot of board games, coloring books, puzzles, and books to read in the lounge. We took advantage of it and read most of the kids’ books, did a few puzzles, and even started a game of Canadian Monopoly.

While the lodge does not specifically offer programmed children’s activities, the natural surroundings is the perfect playground. Whether it’s building snowmen in the winter or spotting wildlife in the summer, children can engage in a variety of outdoor adventures right at the lodge’s doorstep.

We did walk past the bridge on Mount Shark Road and walked by the river. We stayed for a few hours. We also walked down the marsh. There’s a small trail right in between the main lodge and the cabins. And the kids loved the wooden swing hidden above the communal firepit.
